About
Hi I'm Danielle! I have been passionate about the environment for as long as I can remember. I recently have started myself on a zero waste journey by reevaluating the areas of my life where I make the most trash and replacing those products with environmentally conscious alternatives. This has been incredibly eye opening for me because I know that while making the switch to reusable items is better on my wallet and the planet it can be an incredibly intimidating prospect to commit to making no waste. The entire premise of the zero waste movement is something I personally find very intimidating because it is very unattainable for so many Americans.
This is a process that takes time and at the end of the day most of us probably will not have perfect outcomes. I know I won't completely stop making trash because I run into the difficulty of giving up some of the things that I love that come with trash that is not recyclable. I'm looking at you potato chips and scrapbooking. I think it's important to always be critical of the waste we create and to pull back where we can, whether it be in the kitchen, bathroom or in any other aspect of our lives. This blog is going to be the place where I share the products I am switching to and the habits I am changing to help the planet. I hope it can serve as a guide to anyone that might want to make some small, or large, changes in their life! |
